The Jetfire Bust measures 6â tall, is limited to 1000 pieces, features a hand-numbered base with matching box and a Certificate of Authenticity. This version of Jetfire is based upon his Skyfire incarnation from the original cartoon. Jetfire is mounted atop a mechanized base bearing a center-situated Autobot emblem. Equipped with his characteristic photon missile launcher, Jetfire is identified by a red and white chassis and a pale blue cockpit bubble. Jetfire is capable of flying halfway around the world in 30 minutes, and is furnished with twin scramjet modules and liquid hydrogen fuel tanks that enable him to escape EarthâTMs gravity. Million of years earlier, prior to the war, Jetfire, a peaceful scientist, shared a friendship with fellow scientist Starscream. During an investigation of the prehistoric Earth, Jetfire was caught by a forceful wind and deposited somewhere on the planet. Starscream searched for Jetfire but failed to recover him. Eventually Jetfire was discovered, sealed within Arctic ice. Starscream anxiously oversaw JetfireâTMs resuscitation, and once Megatron had officially christened Jetfire a Decepticon warrior, attempted to recruit Jetfire as a subversive ally. However, when Jetfire realized that the Decepticons were obsessed with conquest, he defected from the faction and was inducted into the ranks of the Autobots.

This has got to be the worst transformer ever. We own a number of them, including several from the "Fast Action Battler" series (or whatever it's called). Where to begin? First of all, it comes with a lousy color, a bad grey for the exterior (even my wife, who's not into boys' toys as much said, "It's not very cool looking..."). Next, it is next to impossible to transform without an intricate, complex grip on the toy. The top of the truck detaches every time it is transformed unless you hold it perfectly, and then it is difficult to get back on. His arms are lousy, and detach often when you put them up high to fire the missile.

The only reason my kids ever play with it is because it's a truck, period. And they like trucks. There's no way a kid under 8 could do this. Get a different one like Smokescreen- he's the best one from this series.

My son was 8 years old when we purchased this a year ago. He is now 9yo and still plays with this toy. Makes a very fun and unique way to work on mechanical abilities and problem solving skills. Some of the movements needed are a little too hard for even me to perform, but in general a child can do it on their own, and they learn to read the directions to do it! Kids love these, they are still a big hit!

First of all, congratulations to the group of people who think and model this toy. It has a very good design. However, the quality is poor, and the connections are slightly loose. The arm (which becomes the door) keeps falling off. My son takes good care of his toys (he hardly breaks anything, but I don't think this will last for more than a month or two. Slightly expensive for the life it carries.

I had many original Transformers in the 1980's, sadly most of them have been lost, ruined, or stolen over the years. My first was the police car Autobot Prowl, back when I naively believed the propaganda that all cops were good.

I found Bumblebee a bit more difficult to transform without looking at the instructions, than many original Transformers were. Bumblebee has 2 cool missile launchers than can go into any of his 4 wheels or in his hands, but are not hide-able in his car mode. A few of Bumblebee's parts even transform automatically as you move other parts! The backs of Bumblebee's legs are the only detraction in an otherwise very cool toy.

I didn't really think about getting this Transformer, but it was 50% off at [...] and the only one I didn't have, so why not? I don't really like the robot mode and transformation. The body is fine, but I think the head should look less human. The transformation is one of those that isn't really fun. Still, if you like the original transformers, this one is a good toy.

i like the coloring contrasts the othere TF'ers i have. his head stays on when i touch it unlike Landmire. the top of the car turning into a shield was a nice touch, keep that up w/ future TF'ers. except for him not being able to stand up on his own w/o a crane and spider-man webbing, he's pretty cool.

This toy was purchased as a Christmas gift for my son. I remember him opening it and being very excited. Christmas Day it took me an hour to get it enough together so the parts weren't "popping" out. After my struggles, my son promptly took it apart and turned it back into Darth Vader. It has never seen it's Death Star shape since that day. Well, today he pulled it out and asked me to transform back into the Death Star. This thing really sucks. I tried to follow the worthless instructions to no avail. I have been working on it for about a half hour and finally said enough was enough. My son was watching me and trying to help but it just does not fit together well. Like some of the other reviewers have stated... the tolerances are just to TIGHT! Once you get one part in it's place, another pops off. Then you go back and put the popped off piece back in place another one pops off. It's a never ending cycle. As I'm writing this, my son is singing a new song he made up... "I hate this Death Star... lalalala". I think we will play a game with it and destroy it outside later by smashing it with a sledge hammer and then setting it on fire. What a waste of $$$$.

As mentioned in numerous other reviews, the Death Star transformation is not for the faint of heart. It requires perseverance, full engagement, and deft hand steadiness to execute. If the Primus and Unicron are rated Skill Level 4, this thing should be about a 6. It takes patience and practice to learn how to best approach it. That's why I rated it high in educational, "brain" value... The Darth Vader mode is cool - with noises and lights and trash talk, but the conformation is not comparable to Unicron or Primus. I'd put it third of the three as a robot, with Unicron the baddest, most capable. As a planet though, the Death Star is striking, and embodies the ultimate evolution of the sphericals. It even has retractable stand legs, unlike the Primus.

Sitting side-by-side, they make a nice ensemble. Of the three, I like the Primus best for play value - quick and easy and fun to transform and show off with. But this one can be fun if you are up for the challenge, or is cool as a noisy paperweight in whichever mode, if you aren't...

This toy is amazing, I had no idea it even existed until I was walking through the swap meet and saw it. First reaction, is that Darth Vader? Second look, is that a TRANSFORMER??? I picked it up, took it home and after about 5 minutes it was in full Death Star mode. I didn't even have instructions or a box or the Light Saber that came with it. Now that I know this exists, I am going to buy one new in box to add to my Star Wars collection.

Just got this for my son for Christmas. What a disaster. It took my husband at least 45 minutes to unbox and try transforming it into the death star. What a joke. It took him several attempts through the day to get it finally into the finished transformed position. The pieces kept unsnapping before he could move to the next step. Don't waste your money like we did. Will be trying to take it back tomorrow. Ours was also missing the cape.
