Premium Barricade appears to feature new, more intricate paint applications. If you examine the door panels of BarricadeâTMs Saleen S281 police car altmode, the ordinary trite âto protect and serveâ is replaced by the phrase âto punish and enslave.â BarricadeâTMs robot mode is vaguely apelike, the head rising through the bisected hood and the side panels serving as the arms. BarricadeâTMs head sculpt is one of the crueler and more organic-looking of the assortment. Additionally, BarricadeâTMs front grill/chest plate, ejects like a cuckoo clock to reveal the small, articulated figure of the robot Frenzy.

"More than meets the eye..." 2010-02-12

In all honesty, I hate this thing. My kids absolutely love it, but I hate it. I've said this before about some of the other Transformers, and I'll say it again, only get this if your kid is over the age of 7 and can fanagle this thing around himself, or be prepared to switch it from robot to car about 1 million times! Not that I mind helping my kids with this stupid robot, but when you just spent 5 minutes trying to twist pieces into place so it all lines up together and then 2 minutes later they want it a different way it can get a tad frustrating...especially when there are 6 different robots and they are mid battle and "have to transform!!! It's how they do it in the movie!" Lol.

I do, however, reccommend it. They are great toys and I've recently told my boys that if they can't transform it themselves then the robots can battle the way that they are. ;)

 "Premium decepticon GREATNESS!!!" 2009-10-13

This Barricade rules the streets! His super sleek police cruiser mode is so well detailed that I think he may have the best decepticon car mode out of any movie line toy. The paint apps are crisp and clear. His detailed car parts look great and he just feels solid.

Barricade's transformation is pretty easy with a minimum of pieces that will fall off during conversion. Also in robot mode you can rotate the upper-arm pieces into such a position that they look like cool shoulder armor.

His robot mode is, like the vehicle, highly detailed sporting great paint applications that make him look like old Barricade is about throw you across a parking lot and ask if YOU are ebay user name Ladiesman217! Overall this really is a great figure with some awesome movie accurate detail. Even if you already have another version of Barricade pick this one up!

I love the new realistic premium vehicle mode and the spring loaded punch can only be described as WHAM! The transformation can be tricky at times, but it's got an incredible result either way. The 'Decepticon Frenzy' that comes out of Barricade's bumper is kind of lame. To 'transform' it you fold little Frenzy into this bumpy prism thing. It's seriously lame. Get this for Barricade. Don't get it for Frenzy. He's not that great. Barricade was my fourteenth transformer and I don't regret his purchase.

 "Barricade" 2009-05-11

My son loved this toy! With two different styles of Barricade, we soon discovered that the one style he wanted was rare in our area. Got a boy? You cannot go wrong with Transformers.

 "Good choice" 2009-01-06

This was the only Transformer my son wanted that wasn't in the store. He loves it. Even though he can't transform it himself, it's one of his favorites.
