Creepy, dark, and depressed, DEAD END has few friends, even among the DECEPTICONS®. He usually hangs out in the darkest corner of the room, where his eyes can glow to their greatest effect. He never speaks, unless itâs to say something gloomy. The other DECEPTICONS avoid him, which suits him just fine. The only time theyâre useful to him is when theyâre recharging, and he can sneak up on them to drain energy. Team up with this DECEPTICON® defender and take on AUTOBOT® forces! This advanced conversion figure features MECH ALIVE gearing that really gets his spinning "saw blades" moving! Convert to a sleek sports car in vehicle mode and give the good guys a chase they wonât soon forget! Recreate exciting movie scenes or get rolling with your own adventures!

 "Better than I expecte" 2010-03-06
By Andy D
I avoided Sideways for a long time because of mixed reviews, the fact that he's not a licensed Audi R8, and his skinny looking legs and goat feet. With the Dead End black repaint I broke down and picked him up since the price was right. Other than Armorhide, there are few deluxe transformers that I think are any good and this one is now my favorite! Just so much detail and the colors are just right, a perfect menacing look for a Decepticon. I love the purple tint to the windows, the engine detail, the red striping and red-line wheel accents, and the "wings" in robot mode. A lot of folks complain about the skinny legs and the tiny feet but if you transform him so his legs bend backwards like a chicken he not only looks like a cool Robocop-esque machine but his tires now act as heels and the whole thing really comes together perfectly. The only gripe with him is the head sculpt which comes out looking like he's wearing a scuba hood, and the fake tire on his left hand. You can just remove the wheel if you don't like it. Again, awesome detail in robot mode, a very nice sports car mode, and did I mention he's fun to tranform? You start by pressing the grill to bring down a spring-loaded chest plate and spring-loaded tires...way too cool for a deluxe class figure. For all those who are on the fence with this mold or those waffling between Sideways and this guy, pick this guy up today! I'd have to say this one's the best transformer for the money that I've found to date.

 "Detailed Transformer" 2010-02-15

This transformer is a great toy and is very detailed. It takes a while to learn how to transform it back and forth, but overall is a fun toy.

 "A Worthy Decepticon" 2010-02-10
By Maggie May
This transformer is definitely worth the money! Dead End's vehicle mode is a black sport's car (my guess is it's a Audi) with red stripes. The car is very cool and rolls nicely; it has no obvious problems. Th robot mode is cool too, besides his scrawny legs. The head mold is reminiscent of Master Chief from Halo. (Maybe that's just my opinion) Gotta love that. He has a spinning blade on his hand that spins with no problems. This toy is really cool, and I would recommend it to every Transformers fan.

"Not as nice as I expected" 2010-02-06
By W. Larson (kansas city)
After I ordered this item, I found it in a store for half the price. My grandson was so excited when he opened this Christmas present. It "transformed", but we never did get it to go back, even with the instructions. One more reason for not buying online, not worth sending back.

 "Sideways Repaint" 2009-09-15
By Devon
Sideways was my first ROTF toy, i was very impressed, so this was the exception to buying a simple "repaint" of another toy, Dead End has a very unique color spectrum, and i love the head mold. the only thing that sort of bothered me was, like many of the other deluxe toys, he isn't colored exactly like on the box art, i don't know if this is so hobbiests can paint them accurately on their own, or if Hasbro is trying to save paint, but i fixed that. Also when taking him apart i noticed his shoulder to chest joint is a little bendier than sideway's, making it harder to rotate the arms because softer plastic tends to twist. other than that i seriously recommend him for people who enjoy a good repaint.
